Third - Now divide the assessment by one of the above ratios. That will equal what the assessor estimates the value of your property to be.

For example, a residential property in Mount Vernon will have a ratio of .0194. An assessment of $15,000 divided by .0194 would equal an assessor's estimation of value of $773,195.
