Will the Assessor Inspect my House?
Will the Assessor Inspect my House?
95% of the time the assessor does not ask to come into a client’s home.
The 5% of the time that the assessor asks to see the house you have two choices.
One, let the assessor see the house (if you feel comfortable). Two, do not let the assessor see your house.
In the event that you do not let the assessor see your house, what effect will that have on your case?
I would think the assessor and the court will assume your house is in outstanding condition. That in itself will not end your case against your town. In conclusion, the assessor has no right to see your house if you do not want him too.
