Nanuet is a hamlet and census-designated place that is located within the town of Clarkstown in Rockland County. It is ranked #76 on CNN’s 2011 list of 100 Best Places to Live due to its affordable housing and access to recreation and shopping. In 2007, it achieved 24th place on the same roster.
